Seamless Mobility (Handoff)

The StreamStar⁴ broadband wireless access system supports full seamless mobility for voice and data, and supports hitless, zero-loss handoff from base station to base station and from cell to cell even at speeds in excess of 150 Km/h.

• The mobile terminal communicates with multiple base stations at once and the base stations coordinate the handoff with zero packet loss and no call disconnection.

• All terminals (CPE) support mobility. Absolutely no special software or hardware is required on both network and the client computers: handoff is completely transparent to the users.
